30 October 2026

Primary care provider, Third Age Health Services (NZX: TAH), has today reported its unaudited results for the six months to 30 September 2026 (1H27).

We had a good first half. Revenue increased 20.8% to $12.9 million and statutory net profit increased 38.4% to $2.1 million compared to the prior comparable period.

The main contributor to this growth was ARC Medical Services, where revenue increased to $9.2 million from $6.8 million in the prior comparable period. Community General Practice revenue was $3.7 million compared with $3.8 million in the prior comparable period.

ARC Medical Services and Community GP now operate as distinct businesses, led by Crystal Murphy and Greg Clarke respectively. The principle behind this decentralisation is straightforward: put good people in charge, give them clear responsibility and accountability, and let them run their businesses. We believe decisions are generally better and made faster when they are made by the people closest to the customer and where the work happens. At Group level, our job is to support these businesses, help them improve through TAWoW / Kaizen, and allocate capital well.

One thing we could have done better as we grew was to be more deliberate about keeping the businesses simple. Through growth and acquisition, we accumulated different systems, processes and ways of working, and in some areas allowed more complexity than was necessary. We are now actively working to simplify this, consolidating systems and improving the information available to the people running each business.

Last year we noted the availability of clinical talent as our primary operational risk. That remains important, although our focus on resilience has broadened to include cybersecurity and the technology infrastructure that increasingly underpins the delivery of healthcare. We expect to increase our investment in these areas, accepting some cost to short-term earnings in return for greater durability over time.

Our priorities for the rest of the year are simple: delight our customers, develop our people, continuously improve the businesses we own, and allocate capital prudently. If we do those things well over a long period, shareholders should do well too.

Thank you to everyone across the business for their work during the half, and to you, our fellow shareholders, for your continued support.
