Climate-Related Disclosures Exemption

Fletcher Building Industries Limited (FBIL) is a climate reporting entity under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. However, the Financial Markets Conduct (Climate-related Disclosures - Fletcher Building Industries Limited) Exemption Notice 2024 exempts FBIL from Part 7A of that Act, including the requirement to prepare climate statements. The Financial Markets Authority’s Exemption Notice is available here.

The exemption applies to accounting periods through to the year ending 30 June 2029. FBIL is relying on the exemption for the year ended 30 June 2026.

Under the exemption, FBIL has not prepared separate climate statements and is not subject to the related record-keeping duties that would otherwise apply. As a subsidiary of Fletcher Building Limited, FBIL is included in the Fletcher Building Group Climate-Related Disclosures, available at fletcherbuilding.com.
