Rocklabs Exceeds Throughput Target by More Than 30%

Auckland, NZ – [25 August 2026] – Scott Technology (NZX: SCT) today announced a significant performance milestone for its Rocklabs Automated Modular Solution (AMS) crusher cell, with the system achieving 25 samples per hour during Site Acceptance Testing, more than 30% above its original throughput requirement of 19 samples per hour. The result was achieved as part of a major contract for one of the world’s largest testing, inspection and certification providers, validating the AMS and positioning Scott to expand Rocklabs automation into the global commercial laboratory market.

The Rocklabs AMS is a modular automated sample-preparation system designed to transform mine and commercial laboratory workflows, materially improving sample throughput, consistency and laboratory safety. Following software, robotic and system improvements, the AMS achieved a throughput rate of 25 samples per hour during Site Acceptance Testing. If maintained continuously, this rate would equate to up to 600 samples over a 24-hour operating period. This deployment will support upstream sample preparation workflows associated with advanced minerals testing technologies, including PhotonAssay, where consistent sample handling is critical to analytical outcomes.
The milestone represents Scott's Leading-Edge Technology enabler in action - a core driver of the Company's Destination 2030 growth strategy, built on deep market understanding and a clear view of where the industry is heading.
Commercial Expansion
Scott Technology is delivering the AMS under the major contract announced on 16 June 2026, marking Scott’s first deployment of the modular solution into a large-scale commercial minerals laboratory and an important step in extending Rocklabs automation into this market. The contract, with one of the world’s largest testing, inspection and certification companies, includes a pathway for future expansion, subject to operational performance.
The update follows Scott’s FY26 expectations announcement on 12 August 2026, in which the Company forecast record revenue of NZ$290–296 million and record operating EBITDA of NZ$34–36 million for the year ending 31 August 2026. Scott reiterates its Destination 2030 targets of NZ$530 million in revenue and a 14% EBITDA margin by FY30.
