Brent Goldsack to retire from Fonterra Board

At the upcoming Fonterra Director Elections, shareholders will be asked to elect two farmer-elected directors.

This year, farmer-elected directors Cathy Quinn and Brent Goldsack retire by rotation. Cathy Quinn has confirmed her intention to stand for re-election as a director.

Having completed his nine-year term, Brent Goldsack will step down from the Fonterra Board at this year’s Annual Meeting.

During his nine years on the Board Brent has made a significant contribution to the Co-operative’s governance and strategic direction.

In an email to the Co-operative’s shareholders, Fonterra Chairman Peter McBride thanked Brent for his leadership:

“A passionate and hardworking director, Brent has chaired the Capital Structure Committee and Co-operative Relations Committee, and served on the Milk Price Panel, Strategic Review Committee, and Sustainability and Innovation Committee. He is currently a member of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee and Co-operative Relations Committee.

“Brent leaves the Board with Fonterra well placed for the future, and we are grateful for his dedication and commitment to our Co-op and our farmer shareholders,” says Mr McBride.

Nominations for Fonterra's Director Elections open on Friday 31 July 2026.
