Potential changes to Port of Tauranga Board of Directors

26/06/2026 16:41 NZST, GENERAL

Port of Tauranga Limited (NZX:POT) has been made aware that independent Directors of Quayside Holdings are concluding their service as Directors, effective 30 September 2026. They include the Quayside appointee to the Port of Tauranga Board of Directors, Fraser Whineray.

Quayside’s NZX announcement can be found here.

Port of Tauranga has not yet been informed of the implications regarding Quayside appointees to the Port of Tauranga Board.

Port of Tauranga’s constitution allows for up to two Quayside appointees to the Board, with no more than nine Directors in total. Fraser and Bay of Plenty Regional Councillor Ken Shirley are the current Quayside appointees, and sit alongside five independent Directors.

Quayside, the investment arm of the Bay of Plenty Regional Council, currently owns 54.14% of Port of Tauranga shares.
