Steel & Tube - Director Appointment - Murray Gutry

Steel & Tube Holdings Limited (NZX: STU) is pleased to announce Murray Gutry has been appointed to the Board as an independent director with effect from 19 October 2026.

Murray is an experienced director and executive (CEO Perry Group 2006 – 12) with an extensive background in construction, civil infrastructure, manufacturing, building products and distribution. He has had a long association with the Perry Metal Protection business, including chair for 14 years, which is now an integral part of the Steel & Tube group. Given his deep industry knowledge, the directors approached him to join the board.

Murray currently sits on the board of Wight Aluminium and is chair of the CB Civil Advisory board and Thomsons ITM. He is also a trustee of the Lion Foundation.

Steel & Tube Chair Susan Paterson said: “Murray brings relevant sector experience and a strong understanding of the galvanizing division. He is a seasoned governance professional and well placed to contribute to the Board and the future success of the business. "

Murray will also sit on the board's Nominations Committee.
