New product approvals for New Zealand

Tairawhiti, New Zealand – Rua Bioscience is pleased to report it has received approval from the New Zealand Medicinal Cannabis Agency for five new medicinal cannabis products.

The approval enables Rua to supply more products to patients in its home market of Aotearoa. Rua expects sales in New Zealand to commence in the coming months, as product becomes available.

Strategic importance

The approval supports Rua's domestic strategy. Establishing a New Zealand sales pipeline is a first step toward the company's longer-term intention to incorporate its own cannabis genetics, grown in Ruatōrea in Te Tairāwhiti, into products for the New Zealand market.

Impact

The products will also support Tairawhiti based patients through Rua’s Compassionate Access Programme which is designed to support patients facing financial constraints when accessing medicine.
