MTF Finance Chair to retire at end of current term

As noted at the recent AGM, Mark Darrow will retire when his current term as Chair of MTF Finance comes to end mid-2026. Mr Darrow has been Chair of MTF Finance since July 2020 and has overseen the development and execution of a strategy that has delivered significant growth in shareholder value and strengthened MTF Finance’s market position, enabling the business to continue expanding through its channels and products, while also diversifying into new markets.
“Mark brought a focus and drive to the organisation that kicked off an extraordinary growth period, nearing 100% business growth, with a corresponding increase in value for originators and shareholders,” says MTF Finance CEO Chris Lamers. “In my time at MTF Finance, Mark has shown the true potential of what can be achieved with a clear vision and unwavering determination. His commercial acumen, governance skills and passion for the industry have focussed the strategy and the team on delivery to customers and shareholders. The impact he has made across every part of the business has been immense, and the benefits of this will be felt for years to come. He will leave behind a proud legacy.

Mr Darrow says: “I joined MTF Finance as it was a company I had previously competed against in market, and its unique business model made it a tough competitor. “I would like to thank the Board, our shareholders and originators, and the national office team for making this such a special company and such an important and rewarding chapter in my governance career. I have worked with some very talented MTF Directors who always focused on our people and on creating shareholder value. It has been a pleasure being part of the MTF Finance journey.”
MTF Finance are now in the process of recruiting a new independent Chair and working with Mr Darrow to ensure a smooth transition.
