Director Appointments

We are pleased to announce that Christchurch City Council has made two appointments to the Board of Christchurch City Holdings Limited (CCHL):

Michael Rondel, as Independent Director, effective 17 December 2025; and

Dr Melanie Coker, reappointed as Council Director, effective 22 December 2025.

Melanie has been on the board of CCHL since February 2025 and has been reappointed as part of Christchurch City Council’s appointment process occurring post local body elections where Melanie was re-elected as Councillor for the Spreydon Ward.

Michael joins the board of CCHL as an Independent Director. Michael is the current Independent Chair of CCHL’s Audit and Risk Management Committee and brings significant experience from an audit and assurance career in professional services, and various governance roles including from within local government.
